Brent Brossmann, Ph.D., Associate Professor, teaches in a variety of areas including, rhetorical criticism, argumentation and debate, professional speaking and research methods. He earned his B.A. from Texas A&M University; his M.A. from California State University, Fullerton; and his Ph.D. from Kansas University. He also

directs John Carroll University's nationally ranked Debate program, which won the American Debate Association National Championship in 2000. His primary interests are in debate theory and practice and the interplay of rhetorical criticism and hermeneutics. He is currently the secretary for the American Debate Association and the parliamentarian for JCU's Faculty Forum.
