Mrs. Nancy Kiefer, Instructor, teaches a wide variety of courses in the Department of Communication and Theatre Arts, including both screenwriting and playwriting. 

Mrs. Kiefer is a published, nationally award-winning professional playwright and screenwriter whose works have been widley produced in the Cleveland area (including two world premiere productions at JCU's Marinello Little Theatre and Kulas Auditorium) and throughout the United States, including New York City (both off and off-off broadway), Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Missouri, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, Alabama, and Tennessee.


Tim Russert Department of Cummunication and Theatre Arts - Kiefer

Her play, A Places at the Feast of Love, won the 1996-97 Morton R. Sarett National Playwriting Award from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The Illustrated Woman was awarded the Michelle Renee Gildersleeve National Playwriting Award in 1994.

Mrs. Kiefer has four plays in print: Could Angels be Blessed, The Illustrated Woman, and The Eighth Order with Dramatic Publishing and Gwen and Gwen with Samuel French (New York). She is a playwriting fellow of the Ohio Arts Council and a member of the Dramatists Guild.
