Communications and Theatre Arts Major

Students pursuing a major in communications are required to take a total of 39 credit hours as follows: 

The Basic CO Courses (15 credits) - All majors must take all five of these courses.

The Performance CO Courses (3 credits) - All majors must take one of these courses. You may select the one most aligned with your interests. An additional performance course can be used as a lower level elective course.

The Historical/Analytical CO Courses (3 credits) - Majors who entered JCU in the Fall of 1995 and after must take one of these courses, usually in your senior year. Any additional courses taken from this group can be used as upper level electives.
