ED 515 - Chemical Dependency: Family Dynamic Theory and Systems DESCRIPTION: Extension of knowledge about family systems and skills in family therapy to the problme of chemical dependency. Candidates will learn to recognize maladaptive patterns in famlies of drug abusers, describe the role of defense and the functions of the addictive process in the family system, and use practical strategies for altering these patterns.
