ED 535 - Group Procedures

DESCRIPTION:

Pre-requisite: ED 512

Types of groups, styles of group leadership, and techniques used by group counselors. Group theories, the dynamics of group processes, and teh devleopental stages of group counseling. COunselor skills in the managemnt of group process from initial interview to termination as well as consultation and theical concerns in group procedures and the use of technology are included. Supervised group sessions and debriefings comprise a major portion of the course.
