Instructional Technology Program

Program Coordinator: David Shutkin, Ph.D.

A teaching license may be endorsed for computer/technology upon completion of a 30 semester hour M.Ed. with a 21 semester hour course sequence in technology.  This sequence is part of the M.Ed. program for the Professional Teacher.  At the conclusion of the master’s degree studies, successful completion of a written comprehensive examination is required for the M.Ed.  This exam consists of a general section and a program section

  5. Application of the Technology and Instructional Design Across the Curriculum (3 hrs.) --- ED 588A
  6. Design and Application of Distance Learning Practices (3 hrs.) --- ED 588B

The M.Ed. degree will be awarded when the above courses and the Comprehensive Examination have been satisfactorily completed.
