ED 225 - Observational Assessmentof the Young Child

DESCRIPTION:

Co-requisite: ED 225E; pre-requisites: ED 100, 186, 253, and formal admission to tehacer education and Early Child Licensure.

Understanding child development, birth through age 8, in teh contexts of famly, educaitonal environments, culture, and society. Inquiry techniques for observing, recording, and assessing development along dimensions of social, emotional, psychological, and physical development. Examines approaches to learning in connection with intra-and inter-individual patters of growth. Fieldwork expected invovling interactions with children, staff, and paretns in inclusive, diverse preschool settings.
