ED 255 - Literacy Across the Curriculum
DESCRIPTION:
Pre-requisites: ED 100, 186, 253 and formal admission to teacher education.
Literacy development examined through psychological, socio-cultural, and historical perspectives. Examines reading as an interactive, problem-sovling process. Strategies that foster critical thinking, active engagement, and social interaction in the teaching of reading and writing across the curriculum. Includes field experience. Field assignments related to licensure and content area.
