1. 'You have pictures' ... Reunion 2004
=================================================

Pictures from one of the best college reunions in AmericaIf you took photos at Reunion 2004 but forgot (as we have on occasion) to remove your lens cap, or if you weren't able to be here and want to see what you missed, you can view candids and class portraits online, and even order copies of your own. Visit our online Reunion Headquarters. And if you've ordered any already, please allow a couple weeks for delivery.

2. Blue-Gold ... & green
=================================================

This is the time of year when the thoughts of many alums turn from blue-and-gold to green -- as in golf. The annual Duffers Day is Monday (Jul 19) at Fowlers Mill. Call Gerry ("Pull the Flag") Grim '69 at 216.397.3022 or email him.

Then, on Aug 9 the JCU Athletics Department holds its annual outing at Stonewater Golf Club. Contact Kristi Branam by phone (216.397.1663) or email.

3. In the current John Carroll magazine ...
=================================================

... you'll find the third annual installment of "Making a Difference," outstanding examples of how alumnae and alumni are making a difference in their professions, their communities, their families -- and our world. Plus other features of great note. If you've mislaid your copy you can look at it online.

4. Remembering Chester Gray '35
=================================================

The JCU community lost one of its most loyal and long standing supporters recently when Chester Gray '35 died at the age of 92. "All of us at JCU will greatly miss Chester, both as a close friend and as a professional colleague," observed the university's president, Father Ed Glynn. "He was a great admirer of what we do at his alma mater. I know of no graduate who had more affection for John Carroll then Chester had." Chester Gray's passing merited not only a Plain Dealer obituary -- on the newspaper's front page -- but a featured column and an editorial, all of which are available for a period of time online.

5. Quotable / notable
=================================================

"Ignatian pedagogy does offer a transcendent principle that can operate within any discipline and within any formational experience, from extracurricular activities to sports to service immersion programs." The speaker was Howard Gray SJ addressing nearly 500 delegates from more than 40 Jesuit high schools in the US and several foreign countries who gathered at JCU last week (Jun 21-26). Father Gray's well-spoken remarks are available -- both in audio and text -- on the JCU website.

6. All the best to 'OC'
=================================================

Everyone involved in Alumni Relations at JCU wishes Director of Development Tim O'Callahan '82 the best as he takes his skills to Saint Ignatius High School where he will help guide that institution's development campaign -- and where his new colleagues will benefit from his enthusiasm, his leadership and his finely tuned sense of humor!
