Why give to Varsity Sports at JCU?

First of all, John Carroll University accepts NO OUTSIDE-APPROPRIATED FUNDING revenues to operate its intercollegiate athletic programs. JCU athletic programs operate solely from budgeted dollars allocated by the University's athletic budget committee. Further, JCU is firmly committed to GENDER EQUITY in campus athletics as outlined by Title IX, and advocates participation in and success of women's athletics. The university sponsors 10 women's varsity sports for a combined total of 21 varsity men's and women's programs.

The renovations of the gymnasium, the rebuilding of the stadium and the installation of the artificial turf are the major upgrades have been completed in recent years.  These facility enhancements are essential if JCU is to be successful at the conference and national level. However, unless extra funds are generated from private sources, university dollars must be used for debt service instead of further supplementing our varsity sports. Blue-chip recruits are attracted to BLUE-CHIP RESOURCES. It is necessary to have the best possible coaches while providing first class facilities so that these coaches can recruit top notch student athletes. Private support is essential to the success of John Carroll University 's intercollegiate athletic programs.
