What is the Carroll Fund?
The Carroll Fund is the most popular way that alumni, parents, and friends support the University.  Gifts made to the Carroll Fund provide budget relieving support to some of the most important areas on campus including scholarship and financial aid, academic enhancements, athletic programs, mission and identity, and student activities.  Carroll Fund gifts are expended in the same fiscal year in which they are received.

Why is Carroll Fund Giving important?
Making a Carroll Fund gift every year makes a statement to corporations, foundations, and college/university ranking publications that you believe in John Carroll University’s mission and support the unique education experience that it provides.  Your annual gift provides vital support to the immediate operating budget of John Carroll and helps to ensure that many of the departments, programs, and groups get the funds they need to provide an environment that develops individuals of character.

It would take an additional $40 million in endowment funds to provide what John Carroll receives through its Carroll Fund programs.

What is John Carroll University’s fiscal year?
John Carroll University’s fiscal year runs from June 1st through May 31st.

Are Carroll Fund gifts tax-deductible?
Yes.  Your gifts to the Carroll Fund are tax-deductible under the applicable sections of the Internal Revenue Code.  A receipt will be sent shortly after your gift is received by the University.
