The Program

This program is designed for sophomores and juniors in the College of Arts & Sciences regardless of major, who wish to study in London. It is important to consult with an academic advisor to learn how the courses offered may count toward university core requirements, an academic major or general elective credit.

The London Liberal Arts London program is housed at Regent's College. Regent’s College is a centre of academic excellence in the heart of London, one of Europe’s most exciting cities. Offering world-class university facilities for students, the Regent’s College campus is home to five internationally respected learning institutions

Students may select 3 to 4 courses from among the non-business offerings at Regent's College. Typical courses include:

  • Modern European History

  • Surrealism and Dada*
  • Classicism & Romanticism*
  • The Arts in London
  • Intercultural Communication
  • World Cinema
  • Western Drama
  • International Relations
  • Peace/War Studies
  • Gender and Identity
  • European Literature
  • Shakespeare

* John Carroll University prerequisite for all Art History courses is AH 101.

Living in London

Outside the classroom the welfare of Regent's students is important. Dedicated and experienced staff are on hand to assist with accommodation, welfare, social activities and any other student concerns.

The Tate Library and IT services provide a comprehensive range of study resources. Regent's College also boasts excellent cafés and restaurants, good sporting facilities and an active social calendar. 

The student service team can advise on healthcare, counselling and disability issues, whilst their knowledge of London can help you make the most of your stay.

Financial Aid Information

Students are able to apply all their financial aid, with the exception of work-study, to the London Liberal Arts Program. This includes scholarships, federal and state aid. To learn how to take advantage of this opportunity, please consult with the Office of Financial Aid.

How to Apply

Admission to this program is based on academic standing, student maturity and order of deposit. The London Liberal Arts Program is highly competitive and may fill up early. It is the student's interest to apply as early as possible. Applications may be obtained from the Center for Global Education.
