Homecoming 2005: Homecoming 2005 was a great success. The first annual Homecoming Parade, which took place on October 1, was filled with decorated golf carts with floats designed by various student organizations. The parade began on Carroll Boulevard and ended at the Street Fair on South Belvoir. At the Street Fair, The Graduate School had a tent with miniature pumpkin painting for everyone and Dr. Peck made an appearance in the dunk tank. The afternoon was capped off by a victory from the John Carroll football team against Ohio Northern. We would like to thank all alumni and students who turned out to help us celebrate Homecoming! Check out the pictures linked from The Graduate School homepage to see Dr. Beadle and Dr. Peck and others decorating our float!

year. Unfortunately, they had to let go of half their faculty and staff. The principal said one of the most important items they are trying to obtain are mathematics textbooks. Together the principal and The Graduate School decided we would raise funds for Sacred Heart to buy the textbooks. The Graduate School has enlisted the help of the Graduate Student Association (GSA), Delta Tau Delta, and Beta Chi to aid in the fundraising effort. We have currently raised almost $700.00 with a Sweetest Day Carnation sale, a Halloween bake sale, and individual donations, among other events.

The Graduate School is putting together The  Sacred Heart Elementary School-John Carroll University Cookbook assembled with recipes from the JCU community and families from Sacred Heart and artwork from their students. The cookbooks will be on sale before Christmas for $10.00 with all proceeds going to the school.

If you would like to order a cookbook, participate in a future fund-raising event or have any questions, visit our website. If you would like to contribute, stop by The Graduate School (AD125) or send check payable to John Carroll University to Brianne Vogan in The Graduate School.
