A WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN
Welcome to the Graduate School.
I am pleased to be back in the Graduate School as the Interim Dean, having previously served as Dean from 1986-l999. I feel very much at home here. You will find many opportunities for graduate study here at John Carroll. We offer more than twenty graduate programs in collaboration with the College of Arts and Sciences and the Boler School of Business. Some of our programs have been ongoing for many years; others are relatively new like the Master’s program in NonProfit Administration.
Our students are primarily part-time, working adults from the Northeast Ohio region. We also have some international students, many of whom learn about our programs from this web-site. Our classrooms are well equipped with advanced technology and our faculty is comfortable using their smart classrooms. Our faculty are active researchers and publish books as well as articles and monographs. Several hold leadership positions in professional organizations. We are very student oriented at John Carroll and welcome the opportunity to meet with and interact with students.
Please call us, email, make use of the information on our web-site or stop in to our office. We are happy to assist you in any ways we can. Graduate degrees are becoming more and more important as our economy becomes more service oriented and requires more academic skills. We also have opportunities for those of you who are lifelong learners in our Humanities Program and others.
We will look forward to hearing from you and assisting you in any ways that we can.
Best Wishes,
Sally H. Wertheim, Ph.D.
