Biology

Hours and Wages

20 hours per week in exchange for tuition and fees (excluding graduation fee)
up to 9 credit hours in the fall and spring semesters (a total of 18 credit hours) and a stipend paid twice per month (September-May)

Qualifications

Full-time, matriculated, degree-seeking graduate student in the Biology program.

It is vitally important that prospective students determine whether or not there are faculty in the biology department that have research interests that parallel their own. And if so, whether those faculty are accepting research students into their labs.  Prospective students should take the initiative to contact individual faculty that they are interested in working with.

Responsibilities

Teaching laboratory set up and take down, assisting professor in teaching laboratory, maintaining office hours (1 per section), grading as assigned by supervising professor, additional duties as assigned.

Anticipated Work Schedule:
Assist in laboratory (4–10 hr/week)
Laboratory Prep and clean up (2-4 hr/week)
Office hours (1-3 h/week)
Grading (5-13 h/week)
