GRADUATE and ATHLETIC ASSISTANTSHIPS

 

Graduate and athletic assistantships** are awarded competitively and offer remission of all tuition and fees (except graduation fee) plus a stipend in return for twenty hours of research, teaching, or work related to the department/team. Ordinarily assistantships are one-year appointments and may be renewed for an additional year upon satisfactory performance.

 

Graduate Assistantships are offered for the following areas:

• Biology
• Mathematics
• Business
• Religious Studies
• Community Counseling
• Communications Management
• Education & Allied Studies
• The Graduate School
• English
History
• Career Services

* There is one position in this area. qualified students in any master's program requiring two years of full-time study may apply. Click on the link for a position discription (if available).

** For Fall 2008: The following Athletic Assistantships are available:

Credentials to submit to The Graduate School by the March 1 Deadline:

• Resume
• Statement of Purpose

• Two Letters of Recommendation with GA coversheets (included in application above)
 -specifically commenting on applicants ability for a graduate assistantship. Note: If you have submitted recommendations for The Graduate School that are not GA Recommendations, these will not suffice. You must secure separate GA Letters of Recommendation (which in turn can be used for application to your graduate program if you so desire).
