Professional Learning Communities

IER believes that professional learning communities (PLC) within the school—and within classrooms—enable all students to achieve high academic standards.  PLCs promote student success by creating an environment that is supportive of learning at all levels.  To that end, IER’s primary goal is to create a school culture that supports and fosters sustained learning for the whole school – a “community of learners” that includes students, their families, teachers, staff members, and administrators.  IER partners with this community of learners to create a positive, child-centered school culture where learning is enthusiastically embraced and celebrated.
