Spring
Registration is Underway:
Current graduate students in
good standing are able to register
for spring classes online via the
Banner system. Visit the Registrar's
website at [www.jcu.edu/registrar]
for more details and course listings
or go [here]
for the "secure area" where
you can log in with your Banner ID
and your password. If you have not
used this feature yet, we encourage
you to test it out. In addition to
registration and financial information,
you can also now conduct your own
degree audit. Students who have recently
been accepted are required to consult
with their advisor for first-time
registration.
GSA
Adopt-A-Family:
The Graduate Student Association is
adopting two families this year for
Christmas. Items needed by these families
are listed on Christmas ornaments
which decorate three Christmas trees.
The trees are located on campus in
The Graduate School office (AD 125),
The Graduate Student Lounge and the
Grasselli Library Lobby. The gifts
can be delivered to The Graduate School
office by December 14, 2006 or contact
Jessica Mehnert, jmehnert08@jcu.edu
for assistance. Please choose
an ornament and help a less fortunate
family this holiday season!
A
Celebration of Scholarship!:
The sixth
annual A Celebration of Scholarship!
will be held the week of March 19,
2007 at John Carroll University. Based
on Ernest L. Boyer's Scholarship
Reconsidered, the event celebrates
the four general views of scholarship:
teaching, discovery, integration,
and application. The campus-wide
Celebration for students, faculty,
and other University community members
features workshops, panel discussions,
poster sessions, paper presentations,
and other activities. For more information,
go to www.jcu.edu/research/celebrate.
