  PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION

Parking Information

There are a couple of changes to our normal parking plan that are going to be put in place to accommodate inauguration activities. Your understanding and cooperation with these changes will be most appreciated. We also apologize, in advance, for any inconvenience these changes cause.

Monday, October 10
7:00AM     A number of parking spaces in the temporary parking lot will be reserved all day on Monday to accommodate guests attending the inaugural lecture in the evening. Those who normally park in the temporary lot will find it full earlier in the day and should anticipate possibly having to park elsewhere.

9:00PM     The entire Belvoir Lot will be closed to all faculty, staff, administrators, students and contract employees. This lot will be reserved for off-campus guests invited to the inauguration. It is recommended that students who normally park overnight in this lot move their cars to the parking lots on either side of the Dolan Science center.

Tuesday, October 11
7:00AM     With classes being cancelled, the loss of parking spaces in the Belvoir Lot may or may not create a shortage of parking on campus. The shuttle service to the off-campus parking facility at University Square Shopping Center will be running. So anyone who elects to park off-campus Tuesday, or finds the parking lots closed can make use of this service.

Inaugural guests (not including faculty, staff, administrators or students) are requested to park in the Belvoir Parking Lot, which is being reserved. Please access the Belvoir Parking Lot via the S.Belvoir Blvd entrance.

Guests using I-480
from the west should exit at Warrensville Center Rd. and travel northbound to Fairmount Blvd. Turn right (eastbound) onto Fairmount taking it to the first traffic signal, which is S. Belvoir Blvd. Turn left (northbound) on S. Belvoir to the parking lot entrance (approximately .4 miles).

Guests using I-271
should exit at Cedar Rd. and travel west on Cedar approximately 3.25 miles to the traffic light at S. Belvoir. Turn left (southbound) on S. Belvoir to the parking lot entrance (approx. 1 mile).
