CAMPUS NETWORK

The University has installed a high quality campus-wide fiber-optic network supporting all buildings on campus. The network is designed to be easily upgraded and transports a wide variety of bandwidth intensive traffic - data, voice, video and full advanced multimedia. John Carroll's high speed switched gigabit network provides full access to all electronic networked resources in all classrooms, labs, offices and student residence rooms, as well as the campus electronic information system. The network also supports other critical network traffic such as campus safety controls and fire alarms systems. The integrated wireless (802.11b) network adds remote access to the network from virtually every location on campus.
