BROWSER TABS

Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) allows multiple browser tabs to be open in the one main window.

Banner

When using Banner Forms, the Oracle Application Server Forms (OASF) window or tab must stay active as long as you want to work in Banner Forms.  You can minimize the OASF window, but do not close it.  If you are working in Banner and decide to close an
IE7 window that has multiple tabs open, you will receive the following dialog box:

If don’t want to lose your Banner Forms window, click the CANCEL button and close the tabs individually or leave them opened.

VPN

The same logic procedures apply when using the VPN application.  The initial VPN window must remain active as long as you are working with the network via the VPN.  You can minimize the VPN window, but do not close it.

SECURITY SETTING

Steps to eliminate this security warning

• Open Internet Explorer
• Select TOOLS/Internet Options menu item
• Click on SECURITY tab
• Click on CUSTOM LEVEL button
• In next pop-up window, scroll to MISCELLANEOUS section
• Set the DISPLAY MIXED CONTENT option to ENABLE
• Click OK, then YES, and OK again
