I plan to extend my stay in Cleveland. Where can I find Mass schedules & other local info?
St. John's Cathedral at E. 9th & Superior (1 1/2 blocks from the Hyatt) has Mass on Saturday at 4:30 pm, on Sunday at 8 am, 10:30 am, 12:15 pm & 5:30 pm. For a variety of local information click on http://www.cleveland.com.

If I stay at the Hyatt Regency at the Arcade, how do I get back and forth to JCU?
Transportation will be provided with three shuttle buses that will run on a regular schedule. You will be given the bus schedule in your arrival packet at the conference.

Is there parking available on Campus?
Yes. If you drive to the conference, free parking is available on campus.  If you are staying at the Hyatt Regency and wish to park your car on campus and take the shuttle to and from the hotel, simply indicate that you will have need for campus parking on the registration form under "Conference Attendance and Transportation."

Are there recreational opportunities on Campus in addition to the conference?
Yes. Conference members will have use of the weight room, gym, raquetball courts, and track from noon - 8:00 p.m.  The pool is available from noon - 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.  All that is needed for admittance will be your conference ID card, which will be provided with your arrival packet.

What kind of technical and computer/internet access capabilities are available at the conference?
The Dolan Center for Science and Technology, where all conference proper activities will take place, is completely wireless.
Hard-wired ethernet ports are available throughout the building; computer labs are open to all conference participants. In addition, specific computer banks will be mounted in the hospitality area and designated for use by conference attendees who need computer/internet access.

All conference rooms are fully-equipped for advanced electronic multimedia presentations and include an instructor podium with integrated touch-screen control station, multimedia PC, DVD, VCR, document camera, and electronic whiteboard with projection and file-capture capabilities. The auditorium is also fully equipped, and additionally has world format media capabilites augmented by a Dolby Digital theatre sound system.

Where can I make copies or use a fax machine during the conference?
All conference members will have access to the copy center, free of charge, by simply showing your conference ID card, which will be provided with your arrival packet.
Faxes may be sent or received through the Development and Alumni Relations office fax machine, located on the third floor of Rodman Hall. The fax number is 216.397.4339; if you are having something faxed to you, please make sure that a cover sheet listing your name, the name of your institution, and the number of pages in the fax is included.

What kind of security or emergency response services are being planned for the conference?
John Carroll University is in the heart of University Heights, a very safe neighborhood.  Security is on site 24/7, and university EMTs will be on campus during the conference. All emergencies should be handled by calling 911. The world-renowned Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals are just minutes away.
