Speaker Background
Robert Kissane is the President of Community Counselling Service (CCS) and its international operations in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. Over the past 20 years, Bob has directed major fund-raising programs throughout the United States, Canada and Western Europe and provided counsel to numerous Jesuit institutions on major campaigns, including Fairfield University, Loyola College in Maryland, LeMoyne College, Canisius College, Jesuit preperatory schools in the United States and Europe, and the Vatican Observatory.

As an executive with the firm, Bob has designed or directed some of the firm's most significant projects including the $750 million Advancing the Clinical Mission capital campaign for Weill Medical College of Cornell University; the $200 million research initiative The Only Remedy is a Cure for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation International, Inc.; Rotary International's $246 million PolioPlusCampaign; Human Rights Watch's $45 million endowment campaign, A Special Moment in History; the $66 million A Soaring Spirit campaign for the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater; and extensive counsel to the State University of New York (SUNY) and City University of New York (CUNY), among numerous other institutions.

Bob is a frequent speaker and serves on the board of directors of four nonprofit institutions: Human Rights Watch ~ the largest human rights organization based in the United States; WITNESS ~ a human rights program utilizing video and communications technology; Poet's House ~ the literary center and poetry archive in SoHo; and FilmAid International ~ a project of the International Rescue Committee in association with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
