The John Carroll University team competing at the fourth annual Entrepreneurship Immersion Week tied for second place with a concept called, “Menu 2.0,” an iPad application used to replace restaurant menus. The event, held at Baldwin Wallace College this month, gives college students the opportunity to network with their peers from area universities and prominent members of the Northeast Ohio entrepreneurship community.
The John Carroll team won $2000. The group is comprised of five members: Paul Merrill, Corey Barnett, Maria Perossa, Jeanniece Jackson and Rosario Scibona.
The Entrepreneurship Education Consortium (EEC) sponsors Entrepreneurship Immersion Week. The purpose of the EEC is to provide practical “experiential” and theoretical education to students in Northeast Ohio to prepare them to become entrepreneurs or intrapreneurs; create new ventures and jobs and build wealth for the region. Member institutions are: University of Akron, Ashland University, Baldwin-Wallace College, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland State University, Hiram College, John Carroll University, Kent State University and Lake Erie College.
John Carroll is the founding member of EEC.
