[highlights of a former exhibition]

The 150th Anniversary of the 1848 War of Independence

March 14 - April 18, 1998

Opening Reception was held on :  
Saturday, March 14, 1998
2-5 P.M.

This Special Exhibit was on loan from
the Móra Ferenc Museum in Szeged, Hungary,
and commemorated the 150th anniversary
of the 1848 Hungarian War of Independence
from the Austrian Empire.
 The items on display
encompassed documents,
copies of paintings and etchings,
money, accounts of events, uniforms,
military paraphernalia and other objects
related to the 1848-1849
War of Independence against Habsburg rule.
