PROGRAM CELEBRATING THE HUNGARIAN MILLENNIUM
and
THE OPENING OF THE EXHIBITION

SAINT STEPHEN AND THE HOLY CROWN OF HUNGARY

at the Cleveland Hungarian Heritage Museum (former Euclid Square Mall location)

This event took place on Sunday August 20, 2000

On Sunday, August 20th, the Museum opened an exhibit honoring Saint Stephen and the Holy Crown of Hungary.  Among the many items on display were a statue of Saint Stephen, especially commissioned from the Herend Porcelain Works of Hungary.  Also on display was an exact porcelain replica of the Holy Crown of Hungary, again especially commisioned through Herend, in commemoration of the Millenium of Hungary.  The opening consisted of a short program followed by a reception.  The speaker was Dr. László Imre, Vice - President  & Representative for the Rector of Debrecen University in Hungary.

Vasárnap, augusztus 20.-án megnyitottuk a Múzeumban a Szent István és a Szent Koronáról való kiállitást. (A kiállítást már azóta leszedtük.)  A kiállitáson többek közt, megtekinthetö volt a herendi Szent István szobor, valamint a Milleniumra készült Szent Korona porcelánból való hiteles mása, szintén Herend készitésében. A megnyitó egy rövid programból és egy fogadásból állt. A programon mint ünnepi szónok Dr. Imre László, a debreceni egyetem rektor helyettese lesz, szerepelt.

featured an extensive collection of artwork, books, and artifacts, including the porcelain replica of the Holy Crown created by the Herend manufactory in honor of the Hungarian Millennium.

THE EXHIBITION was on display UNTIL THE END OF DECEMBER, 2000.

There was no entrance fee, but donations were gladly accepted.

A kiállítás festmények, rajzok, könyvek és dísztárgyak segítségével mutatta be Szent István korát és a magyar szent korona történetét.

Kiállításunk fénypontja a herendi Szent István szobor volt, úgymint a Szent Korona hü és telyes méretü porcelánból készült mása, amit a herendi gyár kevés példányban az ezres évfordulóra készített és bocsát rendelkezésünkre.

A KIÁLLÍTÁS 2000. DECEMBER VÉGÉIG VOLT MEGTEKINTHETÖ

Belépödíj nem volt.  Önkéntes adományt költségeink fedezésére szívesen vettünk.
