Japanese Studies Program

Japanese language and culture studies help students learn the language of the country that is known for rich history, strong economic power, and ever-changing popular culture.  The courses are offered at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.  The independent study program is offered to students who have completed the advanced level course.  Many students who enrolled in Japanese studies continue to be proficient in the language upon graduation.  This helps them gain successful careers in business and education.

If you desire to learn more about Japan and Asia, consider a Major or Minor in East Asian Studies. For more information, take a look at JCU's East Asian Studies web site.
