ABOUT FATHER LIHVAR
- From 1970-2002 Father Lihvar has been assistant professor of Greek and Latin at John Carroll , Cleveland.
- Since 2002 to the present he has been professor emeritus at John Carroll University.
- Frank Lihvar received his PhD in Classical Languages at the University of Chicago in 1972.
- He began the study of Latin and Greek at John Carroll university under Charles Castalanno, S.J., in 1947.
- In 1948 he entered the Jesuit Novitiate at Milford Ohio, and acquired a Litt-B from Xavier University, Cincinnati in 1952. From 1952- 1955 he studied philosophy at West Baden College, Indiana.
- From 1955 to 1959 he taught Latin at the University
of Detroit High School. In 1958 received his MA in Classics from the University of Loyola, Chicago.
- From 1958 to 1962 he studied theology at West Baden College, Indiana. From 1964 to 1967 He was assistant prosesssor of Latin and Greek at the University of Detroit.
