    INTERNET RESOURCES

The following are links to some important sites on the Internet dealing with Communications. As do many sites on the WWW, they will lead to other useful sites that can be bookmarked.
    • Communication Studies Center
The American Communication Association's Communication Studies Center is an annotated collection of communication-related hyperlinks organized by subfields within the commmunication discipline with the goal of providing a centralized index of web resources on Communication research and practice.

    • Douglass: Archives of American Public Address
Douglass is an electronic archive of American oratory and related documents. It is intended to serve general scholarship and courses in American rhetorical history at Northwestern University.
    • Media and Communication Studies Site
The MCS (pronounced 'mix') site is a British-based gateway to Web resources useful in the academic study of media and communication. This site is what is sometimes called a 'meta-index' to its topic area. A key purpose of such thematic indexes is to act as a 'first stop' in exploring what is available on a topic on the Web.
    • University of Iowa Communication Studies Resources
An extensive, alphabetical list of links to communication resources from the University of Iowa Department of Communication Studies.

The "Communications Resources Page" is maintained by Ruth Connell, Library Liaison for the Department of Communications & Theatre Arts at John Carroll University. Send comments to connell@jcu.edu
