Study Group
With 265,000 square feet of floor space, the Dolan Center includes not only classrooms and labs, but also loads of space for students to study or work together on class projects. The attractive light courts, which are located adjacent to classrooms and faculty offices, are popular spots for students to work between classes.

Statistics Classroom

Mathematics and Computer Science classrooms are designed around their function, and feature computers at every seat for courses like statistics and computer science, or square tables to promote in-class group work for courses like calculus. Of course, some classrooms are furnished with individual students desks, for classes of a more traditional nature. All classrooms are equipped with up-to-date presentation technology.

Computer Science classroom
Student using computer Both wired and wireless internet connections are available throughout the Dolan Center. In addition, computer labs provide access to laser printing, as well as to specialized software.

The Mathematics and Computer Science Department provides a free walk-in tutoring service for JCU students taking courses like calculus, statistics, and introductory computer science. In the Tutoring Room, you can get one-on-one help with your classes at just about any time of the day.

Of course, you are never far from your professors, who are truly interested in making sure you succeed.
