Blood Pressure Study

Part 3 - Table 3

Nineteen Type I diabetic patients (Pat) were allocated randomly to one of two treatment sequences in a two-period crossover design. The two treatment sequences were either Drug E in the first period followed by Drug N in the second period (E/N), or Drug N followed by Drug E (N/E). During each period, the patients received a single dose of antihypertensive therapy for 14 days. A 14 day washout period separated these two study periods. Supine systolic blood pressure (SSBP) and supine diastolic blood pressure (SDBP) were measured in Period 1 at the period baseline (Bs1) and after 14 days of treatment (Per1). SSBP and SDBP measurements were made similarly in Period 2 (Bs2 and Per2, respectively).
