What math classes do I need to take?

Every John Carroll Student is required to complete one Divison IV Mathematics (MT) course as part of the University Core Curriculum requirements.

Some majors have particular math course requirements.

If you plan to major or minor in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Computer Information Systems, please consult the Department's program requirements.

Students in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics are required to take MT 135 (Calculus), and other courses depending on the major.

Students majoring in Business are required to take MT 167 (The Mathematics of Change and Chance).

Students in Psychology are required to take MT 122 and MT 123 (statistics).

Students in Early Childhood and Middle Childhood Education  must take MT 160 (Math & Creativity), and other courses depending on the major.

Regardless of their major, students should consult with their advisors and the Undergraduate Bulletin before registering for any mathematics course.
