Scholarship Information
The Department offers several scholarships to qualified students intending to major in mathematics, computer science or teaching mathematics.

INCOMING STUDENTS:
Mathematics/Computer Science Scholarships
Scholarships up to a total of $3,000 may be awarded to an entering student or students who have an excellent overall academic record and plan to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Computer Science or Computer Information Systems, or a Bachelor of Arts degree in Teaching Mathematics. The award is renewable annually for four years if the student maintains a GPA of at least 2.75 toward one of these degrees. Applicants must have already applied and been accepted for admission to John Carroll University to be considered. Scholarship award decisions are made in late April. Brother Raymond F. Schnepp Math Scholarships
Current freshmen who intend to major and upperclassmen who are majoring in mathematics at John Carroll are eligible to apply for a Schnepp Scholarship. The typical award is currently $1000 for one year. Students may apply and be considered each year upon maintaining satisfactory academic performance. Awards are made in the spring of each year to apply to the student's financial aid package for the following academic year.
Frank and Frances Guinta Scholarships
Current mathematics or computer science majors at John Carroll who demonstrate both outstanding academic performance and financial need are eligible to apply for a Guinta Scholarship. Awards up to $10,000 are made in the spring of each year, and apply to the student's financial aid package for the following academic year. Awards are for one year only, but recipients in one year may re-apply in subsequent years.
