Colony flat, thin, grainy, not cohesive, pale green. Cells coccoid, dividing twice before separating, forming short trichomes. Trichomes solitary, two-four cells long, lacking sheath material, non-motile, constricted at the cross walls, 5.2-5.6 m m wide. End cells not differentiated. Cells not granular, quadratic to barrel-shaped, 5.0-6.2 m m long.
