Bridge Program

In an effort to help students of color transition from high school to college John Carroll University instituted the Bridge Program. After admission to JCU and before the fall semester begins, freshmen students of color may take two courses during the summer to strengthen their skills and prepare them for the fall semester. Both courses are taught by JCU faculty at no cost to the students and books are free. The courses are an excellent “bridge” to the pacing of college instruction. By taking these courses students not only strengthen their skills but also build camaraderie with their peers.

To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.
