Outreach Programs

Early Awareness

In an effort to promote an early awareness of college and the possibilities it affords, the OMA extends the opportunity for campus visits to middle and high school classrooms from public and parochial schools in Greater Cleveland, Lorain, Akron, and Canton. The students spend a day at JCU, where they meet with the OMA staff and JCU students of color, tour the campus, eat lunch and have a recreation period. Students are informed of the importance of a college education and how to prepare for success in college. Parents are also encouraged to participate in the day's activities.

To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.
