Some 550 JCU students attended the biggest business sector job fair yet at JCU
last week (Feb 7), mingling with 224 recruiters who represented
95 companies. Representatives of the Boler Graduate Business Programs
and the Graduate School also were on hand, along with a score of
faculty members.
"The recruiters always say in their evaluations that it is a pleasure
for them to come to our job fair," reported Joan Hill, Director
of Career Programs. "Our students are so well prepared and professional,
and the recruiters like the organization of the fair." About 40
percent of the attendees were seniors, but employers also brought
jobs for alumni as well as internships and summer jobs for underclassmen.
The Center for Career Services' next event takes
place Feb 28 -- the first-ever Arts & Sciences Career Fair (4:30-7
pm, Dolan Science Center). For details click here.
