| Memorial Day 2005 - Community
Parade once again leads to JCU |
| JCU was once again a major
part of the University Heights Memorial Day parade yesterday (May
30). Father Ed Glynn SJ (below, left), the community's "Citizen
of the Year" in 2004, was the Parade Marshall, and the Dolan
Science Center served as backdrop for the post-parade ceremony. James
Von Tobel SJ (2d from left), Pastor of Gesu, gave the benediction.
Mayor Beryl Rothschild (center) provided introductions and recognition.
Rabbi Yossi Marobov (2d from right) of Chabad House delivered the
invocation. Providing a medley of patriotic music was The University
Heights Symphonic Band (below, right) under the direction of Harvey
Sisler. |
