Students join 'March for
Life' in DC |
John Carroll registered the largest
contingent of students (75) among Jesuit institutions for the annual
March for Life in Washington DC Jan 23, the event marking the 33rd
anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court ruling that legalized
abortion in America.
Carroll's representatives included (l to r) Campus Minister Emma Hayes,
Samantha Cocco ‘09, Kate Heitkamp ‘09, Ashley Marchetta ‘09 and Erin
McBride ‘09. If the banner looks new, it is, having been donated by Erin's uncle,
Mike McBride.
"The Jesuit college
and university students who joined the March for Life and to speak
out on behalf of the innocent unborn sent a strong message that human
life in all its forms is valuable and precious," declared Rev Charles
Currie SJ, President of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities. |
