Anthony Parker traced the history of the Church of God in
Christ and defined the black and African American cultures
in a presentation last Friday (Aug 12) in Donahue Auditorium.
After graduating from John Carroll in 1994 as the Millor Orator,
Pastor Parker earned a degree from the Cleveland Marshall
College of Law before becoming a minister in the fastest growing
Pentecostal church in the US.

His lecture was the first of 2 summer events sponsored by
the Tuohy Chair of Interreligious Studies. In the second this
Friday (Aug 19), also in Donahue at 7:30 pm, Kent State Professor
David Odell-Scott will present "International Religious Communities
in Ohio." Religious Studies Professor David Mason is director
