| The English Department's
Canadian writers series, "Red, White & Read," brought to campus "sound
poet" Christian Bök on Apr 11. Bök performed selections
from several of his works, including Eunoia,
which won the Griffin Prize for Poetic Excellence, and
Crystallography, which was nominated for
the Gerald Lampert Memorial Award. Bök has
created artificial languages for two television

| The author of 8 novels,
Paul Quarrington is also a musician, an award-winning screenwriter,
a filmmaker, a playwright and an acclaimed nonfiction
writer. He won the Governor General’s
Award for Fiction for Whale Music in 1989 and
the Stephen Leacock Medal the year before for
