| This
is the first of 3 performances in the Concerts
and Conversations series sponsored by Liturgical
Music and Musical Arts, Cynthia Anne Caporella PhD, Director. The Gift of Creation offers compositions by local composer and soprano Lisa Rainsong, a member of the Music Theory faculty and Coordinator of the Doctor of Musical Arts program at the Cleveland Institute of Music. She will perform along with Linda White on flute and Denella Sing on piano. The repertoire will include "Grand River Terraces," a 4-movement suite describing scenes from one of the nature preserves in the Cleveland Museum of Natural History’s 3,600-acre Natural Areas Program. Free and open to the public. The 2nd performance in the series (date to be announced) features Karel Paukert on the chapel's Mellen organ and the final concert, at 7 pm on April 24, features the vocal ensemble, Cantores Ecclesiae. |
