John Carroll community gathered in Schott Atrium yesterday afternoon
(May 2) as Academic Vice President David La Guardia introduced
Andrew Welki (left, above, with son Tyler), this year's winner
of the Distinguished Faculty Award. Former awardee Miles Coburn
(right), Biology Professor, who chaired the selection committee,
was the master of ceremonies at yesterday's celebration.
In the soundbite (top left) Dr. Welki tells how his son, Tyler,
has had "the greatest impact in making me the teacher I
