Their bags were
packed and they were ready to go. The latest JCU contingent
of 11 students and administrators left on Tuesday (Aug 2) for
Ecuador where they'll spend the next week or so with the people
of Duran, a village near Guayaquil.
The photographer didn't want to hold them up for ID's, so here
they are alphabetically: Donna Byrnes (Assoc Dean, Res Life),
Catherine Belzile, Libby Bost, Lauren Fraser, Brenden McLaughlin,
Courtney Meyer, Marissa Minnick, John Ropar (Dir, Univ Counselling
Services), Ashley Russo, Liz Smietana, Caitlin Soucek and Anne
Taylor.
This is the second JCU group to make the trip this year. To
read Jerry Pockar's account and see photos from a similar trip
last summer, see John
