JCU inaugurates Robert L. Niehoff SJ President

John Carroll installed Rev Robert L Niehoff SJ as the university's 24th president today (Oct 11) in the DeCarlo Varsity Center in a ceremony that had as its theme, "Engaging the World."

In accepting his responsibilities, Father Niehoff pledged to lead JCU in pursuing service and justice, increasing its diversity and reaching out to the community and the world.

"John Carroll is not as diverse as it should be," he declared. "We must diversify our faculty and staff in order to create the learning environment that actually engages our world."
