Ray McNiece brought his artistic blend of poetry and performance to the Grasselli Library courtyard this summer at the invitation of George Bilgere, Associate Professor of English. The author of 3 books also is an accomplished actor. He had a 7-year run in the improv comedy "Flanigan's Wake" at Playhouse Square and also has played Dobama Theatre, Cleveland Public Theatre and Ensemble Theatre. One critic likened McNIece to Woody Guthrie, whose voice he recreated for the NPR documentary, "Hard Traveling," produced by WCPN's David C. Barnett.
