Former English Professor Richard
Clancey died March 8, 2004. As the first anniversary of his death approached,
George Bilgere offered a brief tribute to his esteemed colleague and dear
friend. "Dick Clancey was one of the most beloved and respected professors
ever to have taught at John Carroll," Dr. Bilgere said. "When
he died last year at 76, he was still teaching Romantic poetry with the
