The Student Union held its awards ceremony and presidential inauguration
last evening (Jan 18) as Andy Costigan (left) assumed leadership from Dan
O'Malley. Click on icon at right for audio streaming menu Among his plans Costigan said he would lead the Student Union in a proactive effort to stimulate enrollment. "We will hold a leadership conference for high school students who hold leadership positions in their schools and show them they can continue their involvement in worthwhile ways here at John Carroll." In a farewell address to conclude his second term as president, O'Malley also spoke of student participation. "We as students are blessed to have a faculty and a group of administrators who are so eager to have students involved. I go to conferences where I hear students from other universities tell horror stories about being locked out or not listened to and I appreciate a school that values leadership." |
