| Suenens speaker traces unique career path to Society of Jesus | |
In
a lecture sponsored by the Cardinal Suenens Center last week (Feb 15) James
Martin SJ highlighted the unusual career track that has brought him to the
staff of America, the Jesuit weekly where he is associate
editor. After graduating from the Wharton School of Business and spending
six years in corporate finance, he entered the Society of Jesus in 1988
where his training included working with hospice patients in Kingston, Jamaica;
homeless men and women in Boston; street gang members in Chicago; and East
African refugees in Nairobi, Kenya. |
