GENERAL STREAK WEEK INFORMATION
When is Streak Week?
Streak Week officially begins when students arrive on campus for Move-In Day on Thursday, August 28. The weekend concludes with Mass and some other co-curricular activities on Sunday, August 31.
About Streak Week
Streak Week is designed to further orient you to university life and to provide a solid introduction to all that JCU has to offer, both inside and outside the classroom. Many of the sessions are mandatory for all first year students, yet we also incorporate several optional programs for those who really want to get a head start on getting involved on campus. You will be able to download the schedule of events as Streak Week draws nearer, however you can review a sample schedule by clicking on the “Schedule” link on the left. A detailed schedule will also be provided to you when you check-in on August 28. On Friday of Streak Week you will receive an introduction to the mission of JCU as well as attend educational sessions focused on issues you may face during your freshman year. You'll also have the opportunity to take part in several social opportunities to meet your new classmates! Best of luck to you, Class of 2012!
What if I am a commuter?
Commuter students are welcome to come to campus any time on Thursday, August 28 to check in. (Your official check-in time is 3:00 PM - 3:30 PM.) Please note that parking will be extremely limited on move-in day. All evening activities will begin at 5:00 PM. Commuter students are welcome and encouraged to attend all of the events on Friday and Saturday. Friday and Saturday's events will run from 9:00 AM until past midnight. On Sunday, there is an optional Mass at 6:00 PM and various optional recreational activities throughout the weekend.
